Aeration is one of the best things you can do for your lawn each year, but a little prep on your end helps our crew get in, get the job done right, and get out efficiently. Here's how to get ready before we arrive.

Before your aeration appointment, a little prep helps our crew work faster and protects your yard. Here's what to do:

  • Mow the lawn 1-2 days before your appointment
  • Mark any shallow sprinkler heads, wires, or invisible fence lines.
  • Move pet waste, toys, hoses, and your yard decor off the lawn.
  • Make sure gates are unlocked if we need yard access
  • Water the lawn the day before if it's been dry-aeration works best in slightly moist soil

Our Seed vs. Store-Bought

If you're planning to overseed after aeration ask us about adding our seed blend to your service. Our is chosen specifically for Missouri lawns - not the general purpose bags you will find at a box store.

  • Blended for our local soil and climate
  • Higher germination rate, so more seed actually grows
  • No filler seed mixed in

Worth Knowing: Just let your crew know at your appointment if you;d like it added

Best Type of Grass Seed for Missouri Lawns

Why we recommend tall fescue for your yard.

Missouri's weather swings between hot, humid summers and cold winters - tough on grass. Picking the right seed matters more than most homeowners realize.

  • Tall fescue is the top choice for our area. It handles heat, drought, and cold better than most grasses, and does well in Missouri's clay - heavy soil.
  • Store - bought bags often mix in ryegrass or filler seed that struggles here - ours it's chosen specifically for local conditions.
  • Best time to seed: early-to-mid September is ideal; spring (Feb-April) works too but fall gives the strongest results.

Worth Knowing: Ask your crew about adding our seed blend to your next aeration or overseed service.
